Freespace Open gets a mention in PC Gamer (UK)
My subscription for PCG arrived today, and I flip through a few pages and happen upon a page with a great big dirty SCP looking GTF Perseus along the bottom.  Stunned by this development I read through the article, and sure enough it details all the hard work done here.  "[FS Open] enables a six-year-old space shooter to stand proudly next to modern games like X3: Reunion."  On the disks they even include the Derelict campaign.  Anyway, just wanted to spread the good news, and I hope some of the thousands of readers take a look and hopefully wind their way up here and add some fresh blood to this wonderful community that I've drifted away from.  My only little gripe was that HLP wasn't mentioned anywhere, but I hope this article will bring only good things.
Regards

Nice! Although an HLP link would have really made this a lot better.

Cool news

Maybe contact them and inform them about HLP? (or at least ask them to mention HLP in the next edito or something similar)

Lost for words, rictor? ;)

Good to hear. Maybe we'll get some more interest drummed up, especially when people see how good the actual game is.

Now this is good. :D
Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

Re: Freespace Open gets a mention in PC Gamer (UK)
They've linked to Indiegames, which is probably a better first step to be honest, no doubt those that are drawn in by it will find their way to HLP :)

Re: Freespace Open gets a mention in PC Gamer (UK)
They have the link to the SCP website, so if we put a prominent HLP link there, some people will probably find their way here. :)

[edit] wow, those last three posts came out of nowhere. :p :D

I swear, just 2 minutes ago I typed that url in exactly, and it worked fine (redirected me to scp.indiegames.us/news).
