Title: RELEASE: Utopia - Return to Neo-Terra. (An 11 mission campaign)
Post by: Gai Daigoji on November 30, 2006, 04:33:30 pm
After being away from HardLight for almost a year I came back and started working on a new campaign that I had started before I left. After two weeks of finishing up parts of the missions its ready to be released.

Utopia - Return to Neo-Terra (Part 1) is an 11 mission FS2 campaign telling the tale of increased Piracy in Polaris and how Alpha 1 is linked to it. Set three years after Capella you'll encounter new friends, old foes and a person thought to be dead.

Built using FS2 retail, but fully functional under Freespace Open.

**NOTE: Hosted on Freewebs, so if you have problems downloading you may need to right click and save target as. If you still have problems visit my website at: www.freewebs.com/neo-terra and download from there.

All credits and install notes can be found in the Readme file.

As always feedback (good and bad) is most welcome :)

I've been away for over a year so lost most of my mod tools, included the VP maker and stuff.  :nervous:

And i'm still waiting for the 2nd chapter of Neo-Terra (maybe a more balanced chapter 1, too) :-P But i don't think that there is much hope :(

I play the first mission of this. And it looks nice :)

No hope of a chapter 2 to Neo-Terra until I've finished my major project :p

Just a question about the last mission: where they come from? From which node?

Just a question about the last mission: where they come from? From which node?

There was all that speculation during Freespace 1 that they could jump without the use of Nodes. I decided to keep that idea as, to me, it always made them seem more mysterious.

Well I don't think the ETAK has sufficient power to call all the Shivans in the galaxy.
<or maybe Bosch was waiting nearby Polaris, sure that his loyalists would have secured the system...>

What is going to happen in Part 2?

The NTF...wins?

Why you make so many NTF campaigns?

What will happen in part 2? Well you'll have to wait and see, needless to say it'll be a really big twist on your views of Freespace.

Why do I make so many NTF campaigns? Well I always believed in the NTF's point of view and I know full well that, if in some crazed way Freespace 2 was real, I would have joined the ranks of the NTF. So the reason I make them is because I prefare the NTF's point of view to that of the GTVA.

amen

Btw, i did find Neo Terra to be too hard but it was still a hell of a good campaign.

I would like to see you do a revamp of Solar Wars at some point since it is pretty badly broken at the moment. I've always liked the EA and they had the best ship, the Nemesis. I would love to be an EA pilot again. Inf:Alliance is set before the EA so that's out.

I look forward to playing Utopia in the meantime.

who has replied? NEOTERRAN,of course!

Uh,no. My The Southern Cross has something really eveil inside. It's not fully reported in the campaign description...

About the NTF,sometimes I think that I would have joined it,sometimes not.
