no i want to change the default resolution in the launcher ; it is 800x600; i can go bigger but not smaller , is there a flag or command line or do i have to change it in the registry, just that the native screen is 800x480 ....
-
You using the latest launcher and 3.6.10 builds? Could have sworn this question was asked before.
-
Shouldn't he be able to change it in his registry?
-
yeah, im running 5.5d launcher and 3.6.10, im just really trying to see how well this tiny pc can run fs , if i run atm with everything on (but no mediavps selected in mods) it still manages to turn out 20fps in asteroid fields with heavy fighting , its just a bit of a pain not being able to access the bottom 5th of the screen or having the screen scroll in game play..... anyway this isnt that important , ill try hacking it in the registry i was just hoping someone new a quick fix.....
im doing this to see if we can create a cut down build for ppl with small net books 7" - 9" screens ,single processors and crapy intel graphic cards thats playable and doesnt freeze every time there is an explosion .....
thanks every one

Try adding
-res 800x480
to the Custom Flags line in Features tab, and it will run at specified resolution. When I tried it, though, it put the 800x480 window unscaled on the upper left corner of my flat screen, but when I tried with 640x480 it upscaled it to the full screen. If your screen resolution is 800x480, that shouldn't be a problem because it will fill the screen anyways.
Registry editing the resolution is another option, of course.
Incidentally, the Wiki lacks explanation of this cmdline modifier, but it should achieve what you're looking for. At least it probably won't hurt to try. :)
