A Good Read (If Long)
Howdy All:

This isn't exactly TBP related... in fact its kinda not even B5 related, but it is.  Some of you may already know about it.  Several years ago, I stumbled onto an online novel about B5, but it was actually an alternate universe to B5.  Now, before you get all Star Trekky on me, here's the premise:

At the Battle of the Line, Sinclair's fighter wasn't recovered by the Minbari... though he was spared by someone else and ended up elsewhere for a while (I can't be more specific without giving away too much plot).  The Minbari didn't surrender and proceeded to decimate Earth and Mars.  The remains of the Human race and Earth Force settled some of the outer colonies that the Minbari hadn't hit.  They became protectorites of the Narn Regime.  There are some inconsistencies in the history before the Battle of the Line, most notably, Sheridan was not a Commander, and 2nd officer of the Lexington for the Black Star engagement, but was Captain of the EAS Babylon.  The Babylon seems to be a Nova class, but may have been a rotationally equipped Nova experimental at the time of the engagement.  If you think hard about it however, since events in the B5 past are affected partially by the events in the future (and this alternate universe is no exception), then changes from events after the Battle of the Line could filter back to the past and cause changes there too, that account for the EAS Babylon.  Don't concern yourself with it though.

I read it..., or most of it (there are 5 Volumes, one per year of events), several years ago.  Later volumes were still being written and I got distracted by something else so I never read the final Volume.  What I did read was incredible, both in surprises, and curious nods to the B5 universe.  You'll find that some people are dead, others are alive and very prominent.  Some things, no matter the divergence, still end up happenning in some form or another.  Fortunately, there is no crossing over as with many of the ST mirror universe stories, although sometimes, characters will feel some notion that certain events, were supposed to occer differently... kinda like the reverse of deja-vu.  However, the more you know about the events of the B5 series and movies, the more insight you'll have as events unfold.

I reccommend it to anyone who is a B5 fanatic... or even if you're just partially obsessed with it.

The main page is HERE.  The 5 volumes should be easily identifyable, however there is a prologue which is an important read before starting the volumes, and it is hard to find.  It can be found at  THIS LINK.

Who knows... there may even be some campaign material in them for some inspired FREDder. ;7

Ah the good old dark mirror.

Thats even better than the many books you have to pay for. And it's free.

And also there are translations in the work.

I usually hate dark mirror universes... but... I like this one.
