Trying to destroy the Sathanas fleet with strategic bombs would probably be the most practical way to go if the GTVA got its hands on ones with enough power like in Aftermath Reboot.  A full assault against the Sathanas fleet would have been a meat grinder the GTVA would have lacked the resources and callousness to try.  The Sathanas beams would have shredded any warship that tried to attack, and bomber strikes would be negated by swarms of Shivan fighters (likely Dragons) pouring out of the juggernauts

Too bad we don't have 'matter transfer tech' like The Asgard in Stargate; remember those damned Wraith ship? Enterprising Asgard techie working on the Earth Ship Daedalus (It was that one, right?) would beam nukes into several ships simultaneously, at least until the Wraith activated their ECMs. But again how big is Mjolnir sentry gun or a Meson bomb?
