Terran = Angular and Mechanical looking

New textures means bigger and higher resolution, possibly 512x512 or larger.  The current ones look like their about 64x64 or something.  You could probably do as well leaving the default textures and removing the Alpha blending that HW used for team colors.

Well it would be good, but as the Game stadns, Terrans already have the Greek/Roman naming convention. Changing it to Mesoamerican would be odd to say the least.

Now if there was a new faction or race... (specifically a new, alien race. I think those  names would be awesome for A new race because they are exotic and such)

Yeah best to stick to Greek/Roman for terran ships (although Norse also fits i.e Fenris).

I would say that the armour points would be slightly improved than the Ursa, but the shield factor would be greatly improved.  It means that you can't destroy it without a Kayser or a Circe.

I think the ship looks FINE.  I'll lead HLP on a little secret:  "I don't make textures; I use pre-made ones from Volition or from texture gurus like Venom and whatnot."  I used the Artemis DH texture by Volition and Apollo DH texture compiled by Woomeister for this vessel.  For Greek names, I'll probably name it from actual Greek words such as "schkizien" for "separation" or "kryptien" for "stealth".
