The GTD Rommel is the product of a small company called Union Alliance Inc,.
The Rommel-class is a little larger than Orion-class destroyer. However, unlike the Orion, the Rommel-class does not carry the powerful beam weaponry. She is equiped with only two Terran Slash cannons, on the sides, and a BGreen, in the rear.
The front consists of a new inovation. The Interstellar Subspace Reactor, or ISR. The ISR is capable of making an interstellar jump anywhere in space to any know jump point, but cannot travel through damaged jump points, ie. Sol jump node. The ISR can also be used to focus photonic energy at an object. Thust when the ISR is not in use it is capable of being used as a forth beam cannon that can destroy most ships.
Unfortunatly, all this comes at a price. The ISR uses a lot of power making the number of weapons limited, and her heavy armor also makes her slow with a cruising speed of about 10m/s.
The GTD Franklin is the second ship to leave space dock. Her sister ship the GTD Rommel is being used by the GTVI and hasn't been heard from for over six months.
