Based on the old Fenris and Leviathan, but in superJug size.







Poly count.  260\200.

It has no turrets yet, nore a name.  What do you think??

Critique:
WAAAAYYYYYY too few polies for that class.  Also, while it is a nice idea to base the thing off the only really well mapped ship in FS, the shape from the side is kind of :blah:  It looks okay in the perspective shot, but overall it's just plain.

Suggestions:
Add more polies
make it "squatter", that is shorter in the vertical axis, do something different with those square things.
you've got a lot of detail in the nose section, spread the wealth, especially on the secondary hulls.

Overall, it's a good start and much better than I could do with TS.  I never really seem to have the time or inclination to do the tuts, but I can bang out a decent mesh in Blender okay.

As far as a name, how about GTJ Laerad?

For something SJ sized, the poly count needs tyo be a lot higher - a lot. Most FS fighters were higher than that.

To start with the poly issue.  I deliberatly made it low poly at this stage to get an idea what the community thought of it.  The detail is comeing.  And i like the mane Goliath.

I'd already nicked the name Goliath for a juggernaut in TMA. Feel free to use it if you want (there's space for two) unless you're one of those people who has to have a unique name :)

The basic shape is okay. Maybe the plan is to fool the enemy into thinking that it's a cruiser, just very close up :D

No karajorma, I'm not one of these people that has to have a unique name, but i do like to.  Will see how all turnes out.

anyway.  been playing with the cube bits and the tail end.  I like both and am having trobble deciding which one to use..



I used the wireframe to give a better view of the slight details on the back end.

Cool central hull but am not shure about the side pods, IMO they could do with work or some sort of interest, they are too uniform over the whole length of the ship.

Been working on the main hull and decided on the look of it.  Also been thinking of the bulk of the turrets.

have added some detail and other little addons.  it is still baloony bit i don't think i can do much about that.



this one is just tryangulated



and this one is smooth quad devided then tryangulated to stabalize the mesh.

There are only two perposes for the "fins",  That is that it looked too much like the EASD Nemesis without them, and i like fins on super huge ships.  it allows more or my favorate type or turrets (multi part).

started to turret one of the modles.  The basic locations of 48 multi-part turrets are in place.  nothing is scaled properly yet but its on the way.

I don't think 48 Multi parts will work. There is a limit. I remember Trashman bumping up against it repeatedly.
