The first pic reminds me of when Martial Law was declared and later on Sheridan and the Alliance took on the EA back to Earth. Can't wait to see the Animation . You should try using the new jump point though, its much nicer (the one in 'A Call to Arms'). I know its been made in some tutorial, can't remember where though. A visit to Nadab's little corner or perhaps on the first ones forum (check google) might be something

i would make 1 or 2 suggestions tho...
- As thorn said but in a nicer way : Yeh, to me lighting seems a little bit off... perhaps darken the scene up a bit and add some contrasting lighting effects.
- The background seems a bit bland somehow... I like the neb, but maybe make some more or do something with the background... needs some space dust or more contrast b/w stars...

but yeh, thats just me its still a better render than anything I could ever spit out lol.
