Bit of a decision problem
So, I was up until 4:00 in the morning local time, after having spent five hours trying to make a decent planet in PSP8 (think I did it too). I was just putting the finishing touches on the image when I may have accidentily hit the Automatic Color Balance button...now I can't decide which one to keep (as the final version). The original, or the modified version.

teh original!

teh l33t modifed!

BTW - the texture for the blue planet is from greg martin's planet tutorial. I can do the planet looking not too bad, but I'm still learning to make textures like that. Do you guys think I should put a little piece of text on there to make sure people know?

One looks more like a dream-time planet. Two looks more real.

Your choice should depend on what kind of feeling you were trying to express with it.  One looks very cold and content, and you must ask yourself if Two changes that, and if that change is for the better.

I say you keep them both.

1 is indeed more dreamlike, poetry style. It all depensd on the mood and story behind it.

I like number one.

I'll take your advice demon and keep both of them, but I'm kinda leaning towards the second work because it has more of a sad mood to it.

Any comments or constructive criticism?

Bit of a decision problem
i love the colors on the second one, but somethings been throwing me off and i'm not sure what. i think it might be that for planets that are that close in size, they seem to close together. maybe move the small planet a little to the left and shrink it 2x. maybe make a few of the stars in the background a little brighter so the nebula doesn't seem quite as opaque. but really, i'm just nit-picking. this is a great pic. and the atmosphere/texture on the large planet is just beautiful

The first one looks good, while the second one is pretty ugly. I think the reddish sun thingy is just 'wrong' in there.
