Bad attempt at a picture.

Well I made this pic to go with the campaign. I know the background is lousy and that I need a white glow on top of the blue glow of the Herc 3's but I did create this using Paint and Corel. At 1:00am today (GMT)
   
This one I had a while back.
   
How do you do decent star maps?
Is there a plugin for psp I should get?

As for the pictures, they are not as bad as you think. Maybe make the renders a bit sharper?

They looked rendered in 3DE, but I can't be exactly sure. Quite nice looking to me.

Well I told you I would be using it in the campaign, as well as my Ulysses MkII.

Well I got the plugins last night so I'll see how it goes

Btw, lightsabers, you say? Well these are meant to be beams, but they just might as well be lightsabers.

The background looks much better now, those plug-ins are simply great. For the engine glows I usually paint them on a new layer using the spray can and then ad some blur and motion blur, and a small sunburst effect.

I think its a little too much glow.  Do a low opacity one that covers what you've got now and then do a much brighter (almost white) core spray for each engine.
