Here is my basic forum etiquette, I know I've not always followed it but I probably should have:

1. Good spelling is your friend, use it.
2. Leetspeak is not good.
SAMPLE OF LEETSPEAK: 0|\/||=9 13375p34|< 15 73|-| R0XX0r!!!!!Oneoneoneeleveneleventyleven
TRANSLATION: Oh my f***ing God leetspeak rocks!
3. Do not type hundreds of exclamation marks after a word!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4. Do not overuse CAPITAL LETTERS.
5. Do not overuse………………………full stops.
6. Do not give an opinion without backing it up.
7. Use the search button before starting a new thread.
8. Do not bump a thread to the top of the list unless you have an important point to make.
9. Do not use abbreviations such as “u” “da” “luv” “h8” “thx” “gr8”
10. Do not flame people unless they really deserve it
11. Grammar is also your friend, use it.
12. Do not openly oppose the Administrators.
13. Do not mention FreeSpace 3
14. Do not overuse smilies
15. Good punctuation is your friend, use it.
16. When commentng on a movie/campaign/book etc. use the

In points 1 and 11 you mention spelling and grammar repectively. You do not, however, mention punctuation at all, which is interesting as you have punctuation errors in both points 1 and 11.

i disagree with number 13, because at one time everyone was a newbie, and we were all excited at the prospect of number 3.  why then, are they not allowed to be excited and ask?  because every newbie does?  including those of us who were once new?  hell we can have an ongoing wishlist for fs3, but not answer a question about where a newbie can get it?  

I understand that it is a sore spot with most people here.  all i can say is...get over it.
