Like Mr Morden says - What do you want?

What do you want in a campiagn, or what would you like your campiagn to based around?

I will be making a short 14 mission campiagn (Probably based in a Drakh/Centauri war, you playing either Drazi or the rangers) but I am open to ideas.  This should be completed just before the release of B5 Heat Em Up in summer.

So let me know what you want.

My non-canon 'A Blip Escape' campaign is set just after the Drakh/Centauri war. The main opponent you fight are the Drakh, and you can pilot Drazi and Narn fighters as well as the Psi-Thunderbolt. Just letting you know. Orpheu5 is doing a Psi-Core based campaign which feels different enough from mine, and I would prefer if the feel of my campaign and this one weren't too similiar.

How about a short campaign that takes place during the 1st half of 2260.  The player would fly for the Drazi (since its the only League race we have a fighter for at this point) and be fighting against the Centauri as they start harassing the border worlds.  The campaign would also feature joint engagements with the Brakiri, possibly the Vree, and perhaps even a renegade Narn warship or two.

That is similar to what i was planning.

I was thinking of doing a small campaign based just before and during the cnetauri/drakh war.  The scenario was that you are a special ops team in the drazi freehold, and you start a few missions when the centauri attack shipping lines of the league, then progress through to the attack on the Centauri homeworld.

I like the idea of a Drazi campaign with other Leageworlds on your side.
Maybe let it start with one or two missions against Raiders to get into it.

Or maybe even a surprise attack of the Centauri while you are batteling Raiders?

I think this idea of flying with the League against the Centauri circa B5 S5 is an extremely cool one. Just so you know . I also like the idea of a short campaign about the life of a mercenary or freelance pilot in the B5 universe. Might make a nice change to being tied to an official miliary force.

I peronally wanted to do such a campaign for standart FS2 but I gave it up when I found TBP...
It is not easy 'cause you need something like a hub (eg. a station's area) where you get your missions, ships and weapons (wich can be unlocked when a special variable reaches a special value)... This mission bosts all records! (number of event and ships are giant)
and the campaign tree will wierd to say the least. if you want to introduce some sort of storyline it gets more difficult...

What you are looking at is something very similar to ShadowWolf's Mercs campaign for Freespace.

I certainly wouldn't mind seeing it done in the B5 universe too. If you do go for it make sure you check out Goobers Freespacelancer proof of concept campaign from his SectorGame Forum.

Sounds good, But I want to stick with a campaign that boasts a good storyline and is full of surprises, so I am leaning towards my original Idea of being a drazi pilot at the start of the drakh/Centauri war with the ISA

Despite being a rookie at this forum, I dare to give my two cents 

I'd like the idea of a campaign playeing on the Alliance's or the LONAW's side very much, too, and the Centauri War would make for a formidable setting, since it's known just enough about to produce a decent storyline, but little enough to make it a little more interesting. What about flying a Narn pilot? Both of it, Narn and Drazi, should qork well, sinde the NArn and the Drazi were just the main "hardliners" in the front against the Centauri.

Well, I'd still like a campaign based on the Shadow War, playing on the side of the Minbari, Rangers or Drazi, for I am quite fond of big battles with fleets of capital vessels, I also like playing one part in the "Big Game", because this is something different to all the existing games where you are the one to save the universe

Of course this is no critique concerning such campaigns, I like those, too.

If you want a Narn campaign there is one in progress for the FRED Academy. So far only Primus has contributed a mission though.

How many newbie freeders are making use of the academy Karajora?

Very few at the moment sadly. Most of the original ones have gone on to do other things now and I've not attracted that many new people.

In a way that's good for anyone who joins up. They'll get my personal attention
