You're getting the problem cause you've downloaded an SCP enhanced FS_Open pack and then tried to play the retail version of FS2 by clicking on the Freespace2.exe instead of the launcher.

If for some strange reason you really do want to play retail the HotU crack pack in my FAQs download section contains a cracked exe that will let you play it.

Okay, I have it working now, thank you.  Is the briefing voice supposed to be Microsoft Sam?  The pages change before he finishes, and the in-game voiceovers are different [better].   

Also, I still don't know how to reconfigure Freespace2 to recognize Dvorak, and it's getting to be a real pain to guess what keys correspond to QWERTY mid-game.

If you're playing the main FS2 campaign and are hearing MS Sam it may be that you need to install OpenAL. With other campaigns it may be that there is no voice acting or that you are missing it.

so I see an HTL_Ursa folder, but only stock shows up in game, it's got all the files in it
