Well, I've watched Gundam Wing series so far. I find it interesting. Space station colonists against Earth. But in the end, its the fighting that matters more to me. And the BEAMS!!!

I prefer patlabor, it's much more realistic. But I admit haven't seen enough of Gundam to make a fair judgement.

Where exactly do you get the idea that this is a cheap Matrix ripoff? The plots don't have anything to do with each other. Sure, the special effects are in the same genre, but wouldn't that make all space movies cheap ripoffs of Star Wars?
