If this is redundant, please delete it. It is not showing me the thing it claims I have already posted.

GF Thirst / GF Soif. Somewhat similar in appearance to the NF Sphinx, another one of my creations.

7 Primaries in 2 Slots, 4 Secondaries in 2 Slots.

Stats: same as Myrmidon, but with more secondaries and different weapons allowed. Also the shields are (64, 255, 64) and not (100, 100, 255).

Textures are not final. I am not very good with textures yet. However I was able to do the UV-mapping without any problems or overlapping stuff.

Another model for the same species, could possibly be adapted for the Shivans. GC Yllabia. Name is based on "Yllabian," as in "Yllabian Space Guppy," from Defender II, although there is no similarity other than the name and the fact that it is hostile to the player.

Stats: Same as Mentu, but with different weapons. Forward cannon should probably use a beam, others can be beam, flak, missile, or laser, although they are set up for primaries and not secondaries, so adjustments would have to be made.

Textures, if you want to use them, are the same as for the GF Thirst. They're not the best possible, so if you want to change them go ahead, but please post your modified versions here or PM me. [extreme sarcasm]Like that'll ever happen.[/extreme sarcasm]

Turret count: 16: 1 forward turret + 3 rings of 5 turrets.

Question: Why do my carefully placed turrets get relocated and oversized when I enter their positions in ModelView?

Higher poly GF Thirst, missing docking point, but otherwise identical.

Still very tough due to its seven firing points, but with weaker weapons it is easier to handle than with my modified Prometheus (same stats but different bitmap) mounted on it.

Edit: Added a new texture pack, available at http://www.esnips.com/web/fs-models for download. This requires that you edit the model and change the texture name to GFThirst2A.

You know, that thing is a lot smaller than it looks...  oh well, still very cool!

Well, there isn't really anything to use as a reference in that picture. It's supposed to be a cruiser, and it's about the right size for that, I think.

Another model: GB Faim / Hunger / Famine / etc.

Primaries: 1 Slot with 4 hardpoints
Secondaries: 3 Slots with 2 hardpoints each
No turrets.

Shield is from the Seraphim, except scaled up a little to fit.

Stats: same as the Seraphim but with different weapons (to match primary and secondary slots) and shield color.\

If I get around to it I will make additional textures. Right now, I am using the same updated GFThirst2A textures for all three of these models. These textures can be found at http://www.esnips.com/web/fs-models, just like before. I will put the model there also.

Here's another one, the GT Trilamb. It uses the same textures (so far). The table file should basically be the same as a transport, with three turrets, but it also needs one primary slot.

Turrets: 3
Primaries: 4

It looks kind of like the triton, but it's smoother (yet pointier at the same time).

P.S. The name I gave it is a joke name. Give credit even if you change the name.

I now bring my count of modellers with totally bizarre models up to two. Even Nuke hasn't done anything like this...

I'm not sure what the correct response to that is, but I've started work on a more Terran-ish model. I spent 2/3 of my Computer Graphics class yesterday and 2 hours and 20 minutes today (also at school) working on it. However, I was unable to send it to myself, so it is not releasable yet.

It looks kind of like a Deimos, but it's got spikes and it's generally better. So far, I have finished the hull in four levels of detail (which is as many as I intend to do) and I have created two LODs for multipart turrets, which I have placed on the hull of all but the LOD hull. I'm still not sure whether it's going to be a corvette or a destroyer. I have yet to decide on a design for the button turrets, and I may use some sort of fancy single part turrets (like the ones on the Orion) as well.

Since this model is getting a lot of time, and since my texturing ability is not great, I would like to know what format I should upload it in. I could do it as a .wings file, but most of you probably don't have that. Next choice would be a .3ds or a .lum (the format used by LithUnwrap).

I've become enchanted and illusioned with the military!

And to show my support, here is the GTSomething Whatchamacallit!

Edit: I have just been informed that multipart turrets do not work unless they are facing either straight up or straight down. If you would like to do work on fixing the model up to meet this standard, please feel free to do so. Just remember to give me credit and a copy of the finished version. The multipart turrets on the sides may need to be scrapped and replaced with button turrets.

Looks like a down-sized Colossus, with a pointier nose and Lucifer horns.  Take out the horns, blunt-up the nose a bit and add on some dish-style turrets and it could become a post-Capella heavy destroyer, desinged primarily for its firepower and less for fighter/bomber and fleet command abillities, compared to the Hecate which excels at the later but is pitiful at the former, while not being as much of a cash-cow as compared to the Colossus.  Of course, a change in textures would also be in order.

What program did you use to get those colorful letterred checkers? They seem easier to view than the basic black and white.

You know after looking at it for awhile...  Replace those short spikes, remove the beveling and add some massive nasty spikes to it and it could easily be one of my creature capships  :)
