What difficulty level?

I usually play on medium, except on the harder missions. Right now I'm trying to beat the main campaign on hard, but it's very hard (duh). I got stuck on Slaying Ravana for like a week a little bit ago. Man, I never knew how much I hated Lokis until I got to the third mission.

FS2 Difficulty - How i consider it

Medium - Quite easy... I only use it to test balance on my campaign

Hard - Medium... I usually play on this setting...

Insane - FUN!! I like playing on this because everything is so much faster!
NGTM-1R: Currently considering spending the rest of the day in bed cuddling.

Nuke: chewbacca?

Easy.  I play games for fun and story, not to be driven crazy by missions I have to attempt 50 times in order to beat. :p

I play on medium. The next setting above that was sucky for me on the third mission.
Every pilot's goal is to rise up in the ranks and go beyond their purpose to a place of command on a very big ship. Like the colossus; to baseball bat everyone.

That's the thing I love about Freespace 2...they have that "skip mission" function if you fail it five times in a row. :)

Anyway, I play on Easy/Medium. :)

I just revived my old pilot... installed vanilla from virtual CD's (disc1.bin, disc2.bin, etc), and now I'm working on beating the entire campaign for my first time with the full version...

Ages ago, I used to play on Easy and Very Easy, same reason with Mongoose.

Now that I've rediscovered FS, I'm playing on Medium.

The most time i play on Easy.

And i have to play on Very Insane when my girlfriend wants to play FS2 against me in LAN.
In other words, i didn't have any chance against her... so Insane is easier to play ;)

I'm with you... a problem comes when i FRED missions on EASY-VERY EASY and then i give them to test to somebody who plays on HARD... :D

Medium until such time as difficulty/FREDder screws dictate I lower the difficulty.

I generally play the campaign on insane, but it's been quite a while since I last went through it. These days, I spend a lot of time testing my own missions, typically either on medium or hard. (although for the last two months, I haven't gotten around to playing FS2 or anything else due to time constraints :blah:)

She plays Freespace 2 since 1999 in Multiplayer, she plays it in an FS2 Squadron since 2000. :-|
I don't have any Freespace 2 Online/Multiplayer experience (played it on PXO for exactly.... one time), she can fight simply better. And handle the main campaign on Insane like a few other pilots here :-|

I don't know it's exactly a wimp, when my girlfriend had much more experience in playing freespace 2 against other human players.   ::)

I tried to play on Hard... but my first dead await me in the third mission :( everytime i got burned by this anti fighter beams  :hopping:

Wimp. :p You're not supposed to let your girlfriend get better than you at anything.  If she gets good, you get better. :D
