GD is like a super tanker, once it gets going it takes a week to kill the momentum so there is no point in putting ppl in charge who want to control it cause they will loose the will to live by the end of the week

as a mod i wasnt able to do much. i could lock threads, which could be overturned on a whim by another mod/admin. if we needed to make somone disapear, we would need to find an admin. idk what was going on half the time. all while my inbox fills up with moderation reports from the more *****y members of the community (i know who you are!) about trivial matters. im glad im not a mod anymore. i can now say things like:

vivisect all the cops

try smoking more crack

hookers are cheaper than shrinks

without making hlp look like the russian mafia/the crips/human trafficking emporium.

id love to see a dune movie that doesnt suck. dune '75 would have been psychedelic and insane, but in a good way.

i noticed they recycled some of h.r. geiger's concept art from dune '75 into prometheus though. actually most of the design team left that project and spawned the whole damn alien franchise. so its not a total loss that they failed.

i heard there were some spanish indie film makers doing a 12 hour version of dune, but they were hit with a cease and desist from frank's son and had to stop.

i also think that gurney hallack needs to be played by lemmy.
