Yay! I got a new GPU heatsink, a snazzy copper number. It works better than before!

Second, a good OCing utility for ATi Cards. I've used ATiTool before, any better ones out there?

Flash the BIOS with a different version and voltage mods. What card do you have?

I've got a 9550, and it seems to overclock like a prizewinner since I got a new heatsink. It's gone from core/mem 250/200 to 400/200. I haven't tried the memory yet as I want to know how long to keep it running at full capacity to test if that is too high a core clock. Should 4 hours be fine? 8?

Once I get the max speeds for both I'll download the appropriate 9600 BIOS from TechPowerUp.

I remember back in the day when overclocking the gpu actually did something on video cards. Back in the voodoo 3 days or whatever. 90% of the benefit is in overclocking the memory, make sure you got some ramsinks though. You can't go wrong with overclocking the gpu either, although that may  not be doing much. At least get the gpu to be at the same speed as the ram.

Anyone remember me talking about that huge hiking trip I did back in July/August? I've finally gotten around to uploading my pictures onto my computer (as opposed to my parent's).

This picture is of the crew that I went with, minus one adult. I'm 2nd from the right, back row. IIRC this was day 3 or 4. Although you can't see it, past the valley behind us, about 15-20 trail miles away is Mt. Baldy. It's not too high at 12,400 ft, but it's at least a mountain, as opposed to some of the 1000ft "mountains" we have in Michigan.


This picture is of us hiking up a fire break towards Mt. Baldy. You can probably tell why it's called Mt. Baldy from this picture.


The little village on the left is called Baldy Town, for unknown reasons. Anyway, we stayed about a quarter mile past that little town for the two nights when we climbed baldy.


This shot is from the top of baldy. That line is the fire break that you saw us hiking in in my second picture.

Now obviously, I took more than 4 pictures, so if you guys want any pictures of the scenery or whatnot, just ask.

I got a job at a hospital doing admin stuff; its a 9-5 job.

Just walked my twelve year old dog, he's getting on now (obviously twelve = 84) and he was a bit slow and lumbery but i walked passed a local park and there was quite a bit of MILF hovering by the gate. When he saw em, i nearly got my arm yanked out of it's socket.
 
He may be old but he still got a few "Awww how sweet"s and i got one or two "you're his big proud daddy <3 isn't he cute" they're either town bikes (likely,) or very doppy (just as likely)
 Either way my ego has been fed today.
