Just looking at the FS2 Master ship database: http://www.3dactionplanet.com/hlp/hosted/fsurp/database/fsships.html I'm noticing a bunch of ships which I believe were released in model dumps but don't seem to be around anymore, at least not on any of the major three sites. Does anyone know what happened to them? Or have the been adopted by other mods and thus secreted away until release? I think I may have the Lost Souls dump on my HD, but the other two are fairly old. Here for an example, is the Vasudan section of ships that are listed but don't seem to be available (unless they're in mods I'm not aware of). The Terrans and shivans are likely more numerous:

GVB Anhur
GVF Nefertem
GVI  Ogduad
VEB Shai (Vasudan Empire??)
VEC Joh
VECv Geb
VED Duat
VEF Aoh
VEF Anhur MkIV
VEFx Yaaru

     Now of course, most or all of these are likely low poly with little non-FSOpen textures. Some of them may even have bugs due to dated conversion processes. But even so, one would hope that the old modders work hasn't been lost to time. I believe Woomeister has at least a few of these for the INF Archives, from what I've seen in google searches. But not sure otherwise.
      The list also doesnt include Lost Souls. Not sure what workable mods were included therein. And actually I'm not sure if there was an OTT dump or not, or if many ships were simply adopted by INF. The master ship list has many or all of the OTT ships as not-publicly available.

All the VE_ ships are in the OTT model dump. Which is on FSMods.
Some of those (Geb, Duat) can be found in TM's COTS shippack as well.

I personally have NEVER seen a working download link for the Lost Souls dump in the time I've had FS2...

   Ah, so it is. I must've missed that.
   As for Lost Souls, I think he only had it up for a month according to his initial post. Not sure how many people grabbed it if any. Assuming that anyone could.

   What's the COTS shippack? The abbreviation seems familiar.

Aldo released a few mods from Lost Souls, but there are still hundreds that he neglected to release. I'm told he deleted them. What was released is now on FreeSpaceMods, however Aldo said he has deleted all remaining things so we'll never get them, because they don't exist anymore.

      Are they anywhere in particular? Or are they just scattered ships, here and there in self contained archives? I didn't notice any LS dump on there.

The Selkie, Hestia and Chnubis are the only ones that were in working order. There was also the NF Banshee and the Nightmare Larva on FSMods. That's all that has been released. Everything else got deleted.

That's an understatement. Aldo had an entire Nightmare fleet, a whole load of GTVA capital ships and a lot of other fighters. He deleted all of them for no reason whatsoever and now we'll never get them. Sometimes I think he got possessed or something.

There was, when I cancelled OTT, iirc, I uploaded everything somewhere, free for people to d/l. That file probably didn't stay up for too long, but I assume some people such as woomeister or Ace had a copy back then, at least.

Why is that? The question is to be taken in a practical meaning: it is my understanding that at some point many of my ships were used in Inferno (dunno if they still are, you might have noticed I'm not around much these days ), but inferno uses (used) different stats, weapons, and so on. Heck, take the ezechiel,its role itself was different. So why not providing the original tables as well? Sp people get to see what I intended for these ships, at the very least?
Well anyway, all that must be horribly outdated and ugly, now, anyway, who would want to use them?

You're the one who released the OTT modeldump back not I, the tables at that time were very buggy and were known for loads of debug warnings. I think you decided it was too much hassle to clean them up when they weren't going to be used.

They're just additional mods to be used with INFSCP. It's not released yet.

        Hey I for one would be interested at having a look at the tables. I mean, transferring data from one buggy table to a good one is easy as pie. And also I just created wikipedia entries for all the vasudans (ie http://www.hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/VEB_Shai), so having more information than "Unknown Unknown Unknown Unknown" might make things more interesting.

        Oh you never know, someone might want to use them. Some of those vasudans for example remind me of the Kadesh a little bit from homeworld, maybe the Apocalypse project could make use of them with some reskins. Pretend their new fighters. Or maybe someone will think "hey that's cool, let's make a high poly version based on it".

         Well, he's not under any obligation to give us anything. Even so, still a bit of a waste. Would've been better to release it and have all of his hard work appreciated rather than go for nought.
