The funniest thing about this for me is that I was doing this myself about a week ago by hand.

While trying to make the Diaspora trailer I decided to do a shot of Raiders launching from a Cylon Basestar. Since we were having an issue with the Raider at the time I used the viper model thinking I could swap over. When the mission proceeded to screw up big time I simply stuck Yakkety Sax over the top and created this for the Diaspora gag reel.

I've been waiting for an opportunity to post it for over a week now. :D

Tried the launch sequence with Raiders some time ago, same result. Because of boundingbox?

I've found that the speed-up version makes every clip related to military much, much more realistic. Makes it look just as silly as it is (aside from the killing).
