BTW an0n, industrial caps won't do the job and it's more than likely that if you did manage to create a massive enough mag. field to throw a projectile across a room at any kind of speed that the whole shebang would weld itself together, the current would be insane.
Research PVC cannons instead, they're much more rewarding or perhaps 'supersoaker flamethrowers' (C) Maeglamor 1997 (someone else probably thought of it first but I'm copyrighting it OK.). Much of my youth was spent creating machinations that created a terrible amount of noise and/or damage.
