"Pores" relates to skin. "Pours" in that context is "correct" though 'peruse' would be more accurate.

I always thought it was pour, but apparently the proper word is indeed pore.  It still looks weird to me since I can't help but think of skin pores like you say, but then on the other hand I suppose that's no weirder than thinking of streaming fluid onto something.  I doubt the artist would take kindly to my doing that to his pretty gallery.  :lol:
