My Hyperion movie and 3 pictures
Hello,

This is a Hyperion heavy cruiser I made for a course in my studies. Three pictures and a short movie where something evil happens to the poor cruiser. This is result of a bit under a month work and enjoyed every minute of it. It was made with Maxon's Cinema 4D R11. My first ever 3D model and animation so please be gentle. I know it's not perfect in size/shape/texture but I ran out of time to make it better.

edit: I'm awful with linking thingies.
edit2: Clicking on thumby should open it as a larger image and movie. I think...

Re: My Hyperion movie and 3 pictures
not bad for so little time to work on it actually  .... engines and turrets are esspeically good and you caught a lot of detail as far as I can see

you might want to try to smooth the edges a little more - the Hyperion in the show did not look like it was made (entirely) out of Lego...

ps. If you could improve the model "a bit" (well a lot actually) you can make it look better than the Hyperion in TBP -  and if that happens its only a proper conversion awayfrom the point when I might be able to add it to the modder's ressources for TBP....
but dont limit yourself  :) - and dont feel tempted by me to do anything ....

Re: My Hyperion movie and 3 pictures
Yes it needs a lot more work. The reason it looks so "blocky" is because I had some trouble with HyperNurbs early in the project so decided to make it without HyperNurbs. But as I don't have Cinema 4D at home, only at uni, so can work with it at limited times.

I'm most tempted to improve the textures at the moment and square away some of the blocky looking edges on the model. But it's a bit hard to find high quality pictures of the ship from several different angles to model it accurately.
