I really enjoyed the first Freespace's soundtrack... I've downloaded Freespace 2's soundtrack off GoG but I don't like it as much as the originals... anyone know where I can get it?

Yep, just extract it from the VP files with Maja or VPView32 or VPMage or whatever.

I use VPView, it's very easy.

Mind you, you're going to get several tracks that are like 30 seconds to 1 minute long that are meant to be pieced together ingame via events.

If someone has high quality (using the high-bitrate tracks) meshed together musics, that would be awesome!

I have the "meshed-together" tracks, but I'm keeping them. Just use the MV_music_high (?) .vp archive and put it together yourself. It's really easy, just get Audacity or summat like that.

If you purchase FS1 or FS2 on Good Old Games (GOG.com), then it gives you the option to download the game's soundtrack in mp3 format.

I've never used any audio editing programs before, and I got screwed over when I had to stick 22.1kHz stuff with 44.2kHz stuff and I think possibly a few 48kHz stuff into the same track.

The organisation of files on my SkyDrive is messed up. I'll need to re-structure the whole thing once I have the time to do so. Until then, I'll just leave the compilations uploaded where they are.
