So a few weeks ago, some guys had produced a long thread pertaining to the woes of UV Mapping. And I agree, UV Mapping sucks balls.
Because UV Mapping sucks balls, I've decided to show you all something of a "Tutorial" video that shows my own personal workflow in terms of UV Mapping, why the Checker-Pattern Bitmap is important, and to just plain show, that there really is no QUICK way to do UV mapping without it coming out like crap. I managed to compress an Hour and a Half of work into 22 minutes of video. The first one is the longer one, and you don't have to watch all of it. However the second video is more informative and its only 8 minutes, so please watch all of that one.
Spoon requested that I show him my Texturing workflow, so I will go ahead and produce a video for that as well. You can probably expect one later this evening or tomorrow morning.
[Video 1][Video 2]The only problem some of you might have is that I do NOT use Blender or Max to model or UV map, (I use max to rig, that's about it). So while the buttons and controls may look different, the principle is the same.
