You'd think it would have made more sense to just change the direction labels instead of physically moving the sun.  It would suck if someone specifically designed a building around facing the rising/setting sun and then had it screwed up because of the change.

Score one for the glass domes.  ;)

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Server's down every time I try to join these days.. hope you guys can look into it soon.

You remembered to change the address for it right?

Most certainly, doublechecked it on multiple PCs. Am I just unlucky or is something blocking my connection? o.o Nothing changed on my end though.

I get Can't Reach Server, End of Stream, the usual that suggests the server is down. Dynmap is down when I try too (unless i'm at work, dynmap works then...)
I'm all about getting the most out of games, so whenever I discover something very strange or push the limits, I upload them here:

Anyhoow.  Now that I have got the original network up and running (well, I only had coordinates for my gates + the floating island, nobody replied when I asked if anybody wanted their gates reconnecting) I'll be giving up godhood creative and continuing working on it as normal, unless anybody else has one or more gates they want reconnecting?  If you do just post the portal's overworld x/y/z/f co-ords.  If it ends up the netherside portal will be in thin air (or in lava) then I'll make a suitable island for it.  If its in solid netherrack, well you do still remember the recipe for pickaxes don't you?  ;)

Dunno if you can fix this, but when I go through my nether portal I end up at the fenris portal, and when I go back through, I end up at the fenris instead of my house. My portal is around -180, 803 in the overworld, there's a trapdoor nearby that leads down to it.

Okay, I have a shiny new inactive portal located at -1231/96/1100/1 in the Overworld.  I'd be much obliged if I could get a hook-up on the other side. :)

Ive been putting more gates in today.  I hit one snag so for:
You can connect the system to one of my gates in my area. :) My overworld gate is at around -100, 70, 850. It was auto generated, but its on solid ground on the netherside. It's not too far from the already built railsystem.
I flew to those coords in the overworld and there is no gate there.  They are in mid-air near a underwater structure which has a active gate.

Edit:  Now that I re-read the last few posts that structure seems to be Grimper's place

Had a sign mixed up, that should be -850...

On a side note, that portal used to go to a lone one in the nether, but now it's been redirected to the portal that leads to Sara's floating island...

Any particular reason some of the stops along my rail have been lit up so they were "passthrough?" I've removed the redstone torches; unless they're necessary for the new system, I'd prefer it stay this way.

Blaze xp farm is done, its at -482, -410 in the nether. Me and orc died like 50 times each building the damn thing, so you guys better like it <_<
I'll leave it up to someone else to make it pretty and make a path to it and such, can't be bothered fighting off more nether denizens.

The storehouse needs to be restocked tho, used all its supply of pistons and slimeballs and a fair bit of redstone. Also diamond needs to be restocked as well, specially for me and orc since we both lost a lot of gear building that thing including several diamond tools :<

I really wish that I had the drive and knowhow to do something beneficial on the server. Oh well!
Also the Fenris caused my comp to crash. :(

Seriously, screw this game sometimes.  I just had a server boot most likely kill me and definitely make me lose everything, including six diamond.  I can almost live with the rest, but I'm getting those diamonds from the storehouse, because that was just bull****.

Edit: Okay, no I'm not, since there are all of two diamond blocks in the storehouse at the moment.

Yeah, I think I'll do that.  I wouldn't normally be quite so annoyed, but the death I had this time was something that didn't make any physical sense.  I was working my way along the edge of a lava pool by plopping gravel down, and I was (for once) working slowly and taking care to make sure that my footing was sound.  Everything was going fine, but all of a sudden the gravel I had just laid completely collapsed, and I died next to the lava pit just before I lost connection.  I'm guessing that either all of the blocks I'd placed didn't register, or else something took a long time before it was properly affected by gravity.  Since it all happened so unexpectedly, I didn't do a great job of registering exactly where I was when I died, and I took too long to make it back.
