With the server being down and thus no access to Fenris, I figured I would start on a side project:
*snip*

Awesome!  Have it shoot wool lasers at a Scorpion!
In my world of sleepers, everything will be erased.
I'll be your religion, your only endless ideal.
Slowly we crawl in the dark.
Swallowed by the seductive night.

And the arm itself is done. All fine details will be done after the Apollo is complete.

#!@#, they did it again....Re: Minecraft
This may be because it's a dev build of bukkit, but because Jeb changed the freaking biome code again, I did a test...

Using the map files on my 1.0 bukkit server, I flew to a ungenerated section of the map...  And look what I found...

Really now...  I don't look forward to having to tell my players that the map might have to be restarted...  again

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Would I be correct in assuming that the Vrga who just started following me on Twitter is someone from HLP? Just curious... ;)

Nothing a massive amount of terraforming can't fix, right?

I think there's only one small corner of my as-yet-explored SP map that used the 1.0 terrain gen, and that consists of an ocean biome that just sort of abruptly forms a corner.  I found it rather amusing when I stumbled across it.

I don't mean to be impatient, but i'm curious what the status is on fixing the server, what has to happen, any estimation of time till fixed?
I'm all about getting the most out of games, so whenever I discover something very strange or push the limits, I upload them here:

I started a new SP map when 1.0 came out that I've been playing a lot more lately. :) I discovered that it has an area somewhat close to ground zero (0,0) where 3 underground ravines intersect, forming a lopsided triangle between them all. They're all nice epic ravines with intersecting caverns, mineshafts, and water/lava falls. I plan to hollow out the center triangular section (replacing the walls with a glass & columns facade) for all the various farms and facilities I want to build. I might start taking screenies of the progress.

Another Apollo Update: The central body is mostly complete, same with the neck.

From one side, its got this lucifer look going on

And from the other looks like a pod racer

As seen on the minimap, its starting to flush out and look like an actual Apollo.

Since the server's been down for a while now, I need something else to occupy my time in-game, and I think I may have just found it: MystCraft.  Myst is one of my all-time favorites, and this looks like a really cool re-creation of the game.  There's another one of Riven in the works, too.  Someone posted about these on the Myst Online forums, mainly because they're working on a legitimate linking book mod themselves.

Come to think of it, I should check out that Portal mod too...

I've been lurking on the beast node forums the last couple of days, and there's no mention of any DOS attacks.
It's a combination of original difficulties, not finding an exact cause of those, the DDoS attack preventing me finding the cause of the problems and being busy with exams at the moment so I'm unable to diagnose the original issue still. All I need is one free evening, but I'm utterly swamped.
rhx has admin access too, but I think he's rather busy as well.

You could at least have planned the server going down to coincide with the internet-wide SOPA protests...

...oh, wait.
