I downloaded POF2COB from
http://www.descent-freespace.com/tools/
but it doesn't appear to work. I have extracted the pof and all relating image maps but the cob file gives me a read error in truespace. Is it because i'm running truespace2? or am i doing something else wrong. Is there a better utility to use? Please help!

Use Kazan's PCS. It converts both ways. (Searching for PCS should find you a link to his site, don't remember it off hand.)

I search with many different permutations of PCS and Kazan's PCS but the only thing google found was the FSMM. Is this what i should be looking for because it doesn't convert both ways. Can anyone give me a more specific address for PCS

ok ive downloaded the PCS but i think it neads something else to run it. Is it one of those MsDev 6.0 project thingys. What is this utility, is it free, and if so where from?

You`ve downloaded the wrong file. You want The Alliance Productions FreeSpace 2 Kit from the same site.
