Hi guys! My FS2 related pictures are currently hosted by Imageshack, but since from now on it's going to require to pay a fee to upload new photos, I'm looking for another free service. What's your advice? Flickr, Photobucket or others?

Tinypic has historically been fairly decent.

Imgur gets a ton of use on big-ass popular sites so it's clearly robust to a lot of bandwidth.

Yes, I asked a similar question (asked for one which doesn't require registration) some time ago on here, and those were the two answers I got. FWIW I chose Tinypic.

For lots of images that I need to have access to, I personally prefer Dropbox (just plop them in your "Public" folder, right click and select "Copy public link").  Some people hate it for reasons that haven't been explained to me, though.  For individual images I don't really need to have continual access to (e.g. one-time copy/paste), especially screenshots, I like puush.

photobucket is still ok by me.  it got bit by the social media bug, but not very hard.

I used to like photobucket, but now it's a piece of **** that automatically jpeg-rapes, compresses, and resizes my images, etc. It's interface went to **** as well with the whole social media bug thing as well. I find myself unable to recommend it anymore. Also, Photobucket has (and always had) a bandwidth cap - if you put something on photobucket that's on some really high-traffic site, you'll get all your pictures blanked until the end of the month once you hit the bandwidth cap, telling you  to pay them teh monies.

Coincidentally, I'm also looking for a new image-hosting service. Imgur has been looking like a good prospect so far.

Yeah, Photobucket has been ****ed for a while. I used to use it and it's really fallen apart.

I wonder how much extra bandwidth it would eat if HLP hosted some of its own images. A basic uploaded, make people have 100 posts or something to access it to keep Joe Q Public out, and rely on the honour system (and the prevention of off-site direct links) to keep people  restricted to uploading FS or otherwise forum relevant pics.

But I suppose if attachments aren't feasible over the long term, then that kind of a system probably wouldn't be either.

2 cents: Imgur makes it ridiculously easy to access the full-size image and download it, without opening new tabs or clicking through a bunch of screens. That's a convenience I find valuable.
