Hi people, I have a favour to ask, both for the article I'm writing, and to aid me in my capacity as the HLP social media chappie.

Does anyone have a link to the Blue Planet Cut scenes in full 1080P 60FPS (or above) with all the newest candy turned on (including shadows) and HDR and PBR effects? (Which I have been informed are now possible in FSO)

If so would you be happy to share them so I can add them to the article and use them for HLP promo purposes? If no such links / footage exists - could someone record said footage, or tell me how I might do it myself?

In particular I am looking for the opening cut scene of WiH 1, the opening cut scene from WiH 2 and the end credits cut scene from WiH 1 (From when the Blue Planet War in Heaven title screen appears and the song starts playing - I'm trying to avoid spoilers  )

I'm not sure I have time to help directly (it's going to be a busy couple of weeks for me), but I would suggest using OBS to capture the footage at high quality settings.  Results will of course depend on how good a PC you have to do the job with, but since OBS supports hardware encode acceleration, you really just need a good GPU and a big hard disk.

You can then trim the footage and transcode to a more YouTube-friendly format using Handbrake.  If you need it, I can give you specifics of how to set Handbrake up for best results.

If you need more complex editing than just a trim, DaVinci Resolve is a well-regarded free video editor.  You should be able to put some nice captions, transitions and audio mixing in without too much trouble.

There is indeed an HLP YouTube channel, although there is currently only one video on there. I'm also looking for high res banner art for this to replace the grey polygons that are on there at the moment.

The videos looked great, thank you.The 4K versions in particular look fantastic, not that my crappy internet can stream them properly without major buffering  Are these using the latest 3.8.X MVPs? Can the game be played properly with them or does this cause issues?

PS - Did you have the 'emissive light from ships' option enabled? I usually turn it off, raise the glossiness slightly and lower the ambient lighting a bit to create a darker and moodier look which also emphasises the shadows and the lighting effects from weapons and explosions. This is why I chose the videos in the original links below - but that is just my preference.

If I were to say ‘pretty please with a cherry on top’, would there be any chance or re-recording the videos you made with a dark and moody look? I know it’s a big ask, and I would definitely owe you one - unlimited free proof-reading and editing perhaps :-) If you could do this i would be very grateful :-)

IMO the other two represent a good middle ground between 'atmosphere' and actually 'bring able to see stuff'  .

I'm on the scrounge again ;-)

I'm looking for an image showing the Vishnan nebula backdrop, preferably in 1080P HD. I don't mind if it is from a cut scene of from in-game footage, or it it has ships or not in it. Lower res examples I pinched from the inter-web are below.

I will be using the image to showcase how BP AoA manages to make a place in outer space look even more otherworldly than space is already.

If any one can help I would be very grateful. (You will of course get picture credit in the article :-) )
