Greetings, pilots.
For those of you who don't know me yet, my name is Silvio. Those who know me, know me as Belisarius here in the forum and on the Discord, where I am much more active than here.
I've always been into movie scores. Hans Zimmer, Ennio Morricone and Two Steps from Hell, to name but a few, were and still are my greatest musical role models.
Then, 14 years ago, I had some money and free time on my hands, so I started composing music myself. The end result of this effort was the release of the O.S.T. for Blue Planet - War in Heaven, which you still can find
here.
Since then, however, nothing more has come from me musically. On the one hand, because I am unfortunately in poor health, which repeatedly leads to periods in which I can't take care of my hobbies, but also because I have, of course, found other hobbies.
Nevertheless, I keep coming back to Freespace. If only for the reason that this is the game I spent countless hours playing in my youth. But also because the Freespace community is one of, if not the best, gaming community ever.
Now that it's been almost exactly 13 years since the release of O.S.T. and I've been getting messages asking if I intend to play again, I want to give something back to this great community that cares so much about my favorite game and answer the question with a final yes! I am back and I will not give up my ship.
On this occasion, I would like to introduce you to 3 tracks that have been created over the last year.
Like back then, these tracks were created with Magix Music Maker, which offers a very unique sound in addition to its simplicity. I hope you still like it as much as you did 13 years ago.
Besides the download links of the tracks, which I provide as Ogg and MP3, I also uploaded them just 4 fun to YouTube and provided them with a funny visualizer. I hope you like it too.
But now enough babbling, because it's time to finally present the 3 tracks to you.
Game of Tones
This track I made especially for my beloved mother, who is a great Game of Thrones fan and always helps me, when my health issues strike again. I love you, Mom.
Ogg-Version MP3-Version (Length: 4:31 @ 320 kBit/s)
Sleeping Brute
This song is a rather happy sounding one, that may be used as build up for more tense and faster tracks.
Ogg-Version MP3-Version (Length: 3:43 @ 320 kBit/s)
Brute Force
The name of the song pretty much says it all. It sounds brutal, metal like, almost a bit like Rammstein would sound, if they'd use Magix Music Maker.
Ogg-Version MP3-Version (Length: 4:52 @ 320 kBit/s)
In case you want to download all 3 songs in one pack, you can do so here

(all packed into a zip archive)
I'd also like to mention that I'm very happy to receive your feedback and that I'm far from finished, as there are many more tracks in the pipeline.
Stay tuned and have fun!
